About our Founder Jim Grosspietsch began his career in marketing and sales 20 years ago, and marketing remains his chief business interest today. He is the founder and president of The Prairie Studio; and co-founder and vice president of Studio G Interiors, Inc. and Studio G Kitchen & Bath, two firms he manages with his wife and business partner, Tracy Grosspietsch.
Prior to launching his own companies, Grosspietsch served as marketing director and department head for several Chicago-based start-up firms serving various industries: software, telecommunications, business intelligence, life sciences, health care, and commercial architecture/engineering/design.
Grosspietsch holds a Bachelor of Science degree in marketing and a Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree with a marketing concentration from the University of Illinois.
He is a frequent speaker on marketing-related topics for small- to mid-sized businesses, and guest speaker on career strategies for aspiring marketing and design professionals. Grosspietsch is also frequently quoted in the media as an expert on marketing, entrepreneurship, and small business issues.
